The second installment of Gail Carriger’s popular Finishing School series is here, and I am eager to start reading it!

In the last novel, Sophronia found out the finishing school her mother sent her to is teaching her how to be a proper lady – and a proper spy. She got involved in a little situation over a stolen device, but somehow managed to see it returned to the owner (with only a few bumps along the way). What will Sophronia get involved in this book, I wonder? The back cover talks about more sneaking around the school, eavesdropping on teachers, and visiting the boiler room (to visit a certain someone, and get more coal for Bumbersnoot of course). The class apparently gets to take a field-trip to London, which may or may not have to do with a new conspiracy that involves supernaturals and humans.

Return back to the fabulous and fashionable steampunk world that Carriger has created in the Finishing School series, and join Sophronia and her friends on their latest adventure. To learn more, visit Carriger’s website, and to purchase a copy visit your local bookstore.
