Anna and the French Kiss is a fun, heartwarming and entertaining novel from the brilliant Stephanie Perkins. I read this book on the recommendation of a favorite author of mine, and was not disappointed in the least- this novel exceeded my expectations. Before I knew it I was in love- with the story, the characters, the setting, everything. The story wasn’t necessarily super realistic, but it was fun and so different from other contemporary young adult novels I have read, that I found it enjoyable from start to finish. Anna and Etienne (swoon) are one of my favorite couples; I was rooting for them from the start! Full of witty characters, great dialogue and a magical romance, Anna and the French Kiss is a novel you don’t want to miss out on!

Here’s the synopsis for the book, thanks to Stephanie Perkin’s official website:

Anna was looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. So she’s less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all . . . including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?  Stephanie Perkins keeps the romantic tension crackling and the attraction high in a debut guaranteed to make toes tingle and hearts melt.

Don’t miss out on the next two installments of the series: Lola and the Boy Next Door and Isla and the Happily Ever After.
